I think its perfect for what youre goin for...My only thing is theres A LOT of blank space in the sky and horizon but honestly whether you want to try and add something or not is up to you. Its quite nice

Edit: After lookin at it a bit his right shoulder and arm have a bit of a diffrent size, shape goin on. Doesnt look 100 percent correct. Like Im guessing you were tryin to make that arm closer to his body/back to make it seem like his arms are swaing while he walks? It looks like the arms like...almost infront of the one on the opposite side but with how close it is to the jacket it doesnt look right. This is just really teeny tiny nit pickin though

yeah thats' what i was tryin to do. i'm probably not gonna change it, although i see what you are talking about. just pretend the wind is blowing his coat in that direction so it's hiding the distance between his right arm and his body like on the left one

there is a lot of empty space, but that's what i wanted to convey, a kind of emptiness. maybe it's too empty, i dunno. i'll try adding things


i'll try it, although i don't want it to get too busy


his hat is very large on purpose, the character himself will explain it later. and yeah, the world of freetown does have 'twin suns'

Kind of looks like his eye is half way popped out, because of the shadow besides it. Else than that it looks really good. The violet thing is nice, too, but this one has a way better shading contrast and looks better in my opinion.

i'm gonna scan all the originals and put them up for people to see. the hardest part will be the legibility of it. my handwriting is bad enough, but one of my friends who worked on the comic with me, his writing is a total nightmare

ohh the villains are quite juicy. unfortunately the best villains don't show up until a few episodes from now. in the first few episodes the bad guys are mostly the cops. and librarians. nickel is really easygoing and a fun character, she is a main character in the next episode. i have already written out the script for it

Yeah he's def. one of my all time favourites. Up there with historical greats. I can't get enough of his sketches. His style is so fresh and great. He's one the very few of my peers who art actually gets me excited to draw.

Very nice.

The first one looks awesome because it appears the person is falling.
I like how you can see straight down the city and as it gets further away
it is blocked from view.
I also like the colors you used.

The second one I like because of how much light the city blocks
from the citizens and yet how much light is given from a cigarette.

Hey, this is awesome. Love the buildings in the second one!! So amazing. I've gotta ask what you're doing about a mile in the sky...air drawing...not that it's not cool and shouldn't be attempted (with a parachute or something). The smoking guy's arms are very long...'ts a nice trait to have. I've gotta say though those buildings though...just does it for me...

I think it's the hat. With the lighting and everything, all you really see is a silhouette of everything, as the haze sets in the background. I don't think Eustace would stand a chance in this world. Just imagine him racing in the first episode. That would be something to see. Also, I don't think Eustace smokes...

This is an absolutely stunning piece. The soft colors and expressions really bring this piece out and make it exceptionally pleasing to look at. This is sooooo feature worthy and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do. The detail in this piece is amazing giving it a realistic feel without throwing off the fantasy of the piece. well, here's something different. 3d turnaround for an assignment : create a character with a max of 1500 tri's (polys). this is EXTREMELY low, we're talking like before dreamcast standards. she's made of 1,448 tri's. she's not textured yet, but this is what she looks like so far. she'll look a lot better with the textures

i don't think it's so much the possible need to use low polies as it's that they want you to really push your concepts and be able to convey with with as little info as possible rather than rely on an assload of tris and end up with overpolished boring graphics like you'd find in Halo. To me the idea to to force you to think really hard on your designs and decide what is neccesary and what is extra pointless garbage.


Anyway, it looks great rtil. Love the huge feet.

a lot of game engines for small startups can't really push a lot of polys to begin with ( i mean it's not like everyone's developing next-gen games), but mrat is also correct. they want to make sure we are able to push the most important details of a figure with a limited amount of resources.

it's really jumbled cursive so it is hard to read. i'll have to look up that ship to make sure it doesn't look too much like it haha


the premise is you're a ship who's trying to stop a giant enemy ship from blowing up your last remaining home base. you get 3 laser shots from this 'doom ship' until you're dead. so the game lasts about 15 minutes, but there are also other missions, like defending transports. it'll be in 3d

It's cool looking, but it's got alot of junk on it. Junk not like bad, just a whole lot of stuff. Typically aircrafts have one designated purpose with some support for that. It's a game though and anything goes. Look at Ikaruga, that spaceship can do anything.

i dunno if he will appear in freetown. he's not really part of the story(yet), and i'm not even sure if he's a real being, because he's so inhuman looking. if he does appear in freetown, he will either appear on walls in graffiti and he might have some kind of shady alter-ego. a lot of the script of freetown is blurry right now, so who knows. i have a beginning and end to freetown, but the middle is still up for grabs so to speak.
