Abandoned in the rough streets of Chinatown as a toddler, she was taken up by the wife of a grumpy old restaurant owner. When she became older she became a cook in her home/workplace, surrounded by gang violence, racial tension, child prostitution and all around rottenness. Forced to slaughter and cook a large variety of legal and nonlegal animals, she came to her breaking point when ordered to prepare a komodo dragon stew. After setting the giant lizard free, she was stunned by the creature's transformation into a huge Chinese dragon. The dragon offered to grant her one request, to which she replied, "I wish i didnt have to live in such a hellhole." Being a wise and witty old lizard, the dragon took her request very loosely, giving her a magical ladle which could turn into a variety of weapons. And so the girl would reluctantly take on the role of bettering her scummy neighborhood for herself and others...she would become the legendary Chinatown Champion!
