filedump: important psa

In 1 week, I am going to add functionality to make your filedump and folders accessible to other people as links on your profiles.

The reason why I am announcing this ahead of time, is to give you time to make files and folders you'd rather keep to yourself private. This functionality has already been in place for a long time, except it was useless because nobody could access your filedump except you (aside from folders, which i have disabled in preparation for the new public viewing system).

I will be making this an optional, opt-in ability. By default your file dumps will be set to private. A one-click switch on your filedump will let you decide whether or not you want people to be able to access it.

in case you don't already know , making a folder or file private is very easy. just press the lock () icon next to it. when the file has been locked successfully, it will become colored (). when a file is privacy locked, it will not show up in a file list for anyone except you.

i started looking through my files and figured i might as well delete my private shit because it doesnt need to be here anyway

the idea of accessible filedumps is great, but what about the filedumps of people that dont go here anymore? 1 week will be enough for regulars to set their stuff to private, but the older members (or the non-regulars) that uploaded shit here and left wont be able to set their shit to private at all/in time

altho i was looking forward to snoop around peoples folders, how about you give people the option to set their filedump to 'public'? and have the default be 'private'

I'm really glad because I've got 948 files on there (almost half a gig lmfao), don't think I'd be able to look through all of that hah.
