speaking of the song, it was after i heard it a couple of times that i got the idea for making this. best coast makes very good songs to animate to. i have an entire storyboard lying around for 'boyfriend'

a bg from the 2nd scene. middle is empty because the character will go there. scene 1 is done. since the cartoon is so short, i'm going to try and make it as best quality as i can, see if i can pull off a good painted bg+cel animation mix.

although I feel the blur for the telephone lines/poles is a little too harsh a little too soon

gorgeous! you'll pull it off, I think the way you handle backgrounds with large blocks of color and subtle gradients is well suited for compositing
