Oh Hai, My name is Mel (I usually go by Evio) and I try to art. Stuff I find creeping into my sketchbook: Elfquest, MLP, Junko Mizuno, JSRF, Ross Cambell and just tons of cats, robots and gears.

I was introduced to his work because he used to hang his paintings in a cafe in my home town growing up. I only found out about his comics after stalking him on DA. I'm crazy in love the clothes he does in his work. I guess Im a crust punk at heart.

i found out about his stuff when i went to SDCC a couple years back, i picked up his comic shadow eyes and immediately fell in love with it! i now own all of wet moon and water baby, they're so good haha

About 2 weeks ago, while cleaning my office/studio/clutter-hole, I found I had a bunch of Bristol paper I wasnt using. So I took all the cold press and tea dyed them. (Dye recipe: Lipton Cold brew tea, Instant Folgers Coffee and ground Tumeric. Let dry for 3 days) Most of it I'm still waiting to dry completely, and still more are under the rug (being flattened.) Only 2 sheets were dry enough to work with. So I cut a sheet down into 9 cards.

I sketch most of these out to make sure they make sense before I go to the trouble of getting all my paint stuff out. so very lazy

Other times they make sense in the sketchbook, but not really on tea dyed paper.

This one would look better if the rest of the background was dark like in my sketch. Also shoulda picked a better card to work with, this one was too dark, and make my whites look like crap. Also charcoal is a terrible medium for cold press paper. Dont do it kids

This one is rejected. Theres a few other artists who do work much similer to this one, so it really doesnt feel like its my own work. More like something I must have recalled from memory.

More rejected, for also depending on a filled in background. May use it later for something else.

I like this one but I think im gonna re work this into a bigger painting later.

Oh my, what a well composed and terribley neat picture of my work space.

was planning on doing a Nuzelock run of Pokemon Soul Silver. Had characters sketched up, started in on layouts and then I got wiped out at the first gym.

i've always thought about doing a nuzelock challenge, but i'd fuck it up so bad

dude, Nuzlock is so haaaaaaaaaaard. Now i half a half finished comic thats gonna cut off mid story and im wondering if i should even bother.
